ASO should not cost more than your hosting
ASOnest exists because of a specific, repeated frustration: every serious App Store Optimization tool is built for a team with an ASO headcount, and priced accordingly.
If you are one person shipping one app, the market offers you two bad options. Enterprise suites at $79 to $129 a month, most of which you will never open — Apple Search Ads management, ad creative libraries, market-level revenue estimates. Or free tools that hand you a keyword list with no volume, no difficulty and no way to tell whether anything you changed worked.
The middle is where almost every indie developer actually lives, and it was empty.
What we decided to leave out
The only way to build a focused product at $10 a month is to say no to things, out loud, on the website. So: ASOnest does not manage Apple Search Ads campaigns. It does not publish download or revenue estimates. It does not do ad creative intelligence, and it is not a review reply inbox.
Those are all real products with real customers, and we point at the tools that do them well on our comparison pages — including the parts where those tools beat ours. A comparison page that pretends the competition is bad is not a comparison page, it is an advert.
What we decided to do properly
Organic store search. Finding the keywords your app can realistically rank for, measuring where you sit today, watching what your competitors change, and telling you what to edit next. One workspace covering the App Store and Google Play, because indie developers ship to both and nobody should pay twice for that.
The design constraint we keep returning to is this: the dashboard should answer "what should I change this week?" — not present nine modules and a training video.
How we price
Every price and every limit is on the pricing page. There is no tier where the number is replaced by a calendar link, no per-country add-on, no per-seat billing and no annual contract. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial that does not ask for a card, because you should be able to find out whether ASO moves the needle for your own app before spending anything.
Where the data comes from
Search volume comes from Apple's own search popularity index and Google Play's demand signals. Ranks are measured by querying live store search results rather than modelled — if you search the store yourself and count, you should land on the same number. Difficulty is computed daily from the apps actually ranking, not from a static index we refresh quarterly.
Where a number is an estimate, we say so. Where we do not have good data — download and revenue figures, for instance — we do not publish a guess dressed as a measurement.
Published pricing
Every plan and limit on one page. No sales call between you and the product.
Public data only
Everything ASOnest reads is what any store visitor sees. No SDK in your app, nothing written to any listing.
Answered by humans
Support goes to the people who build the product. Try it.
ASOnest is built by a small independent team, not a division of a larger analytics company. There is no outside sales function: the people who write the code answer the support email, and product decisions are made against what indie developers actually need rather than what an enterprise procurement checklist asks for.
No. ASOnest is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple Inc. or Google LLC. App Store is a trademark of Apple Inc. and Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC; both are used here for identification only.
Search volume comes from Apple’s own search popularity index and from Google Play demand signals. Rankings are measured by querying live App Store and Google Play search results rather than modelled, which is why a position in ASOnest matches what you see when you search the store yourself. Difficulty is recomputed daily from the apps currently ranking for each term.
No. Everything works from public store data — paste an App Store or Google Play URL and the listing, current ranks and suggested competitors are imported. Connecting App Store Connect or Google Play Console is optional and only adds your own first-party download and conversion figures.
Apple Search Ads campaign management, ad creative intelligence, market-level download and revenue estimates, and review reply workflows. Each of those is a serious product in its own right, and leaving them out is what keeps ASOnest focused and priced at $10 a month rather than $79.
